When capturing the special moments, it is necessary to have the best type of tools and gears around. First, you should have a camera. It does not have to be the most expensive or the latest model. Next, set aside ample stock of film or memory card. One roll of film might not be enough to capture all the hilarious and frightening happenings of the night. One 512 MB memory card might not have enough space for all the photos. So to be safe, do not forget to have at least one extra roll of film or memory card.

Of course, no one should ever forget to have spare batteries. Halloween parties last for several hours, and without extra batteries, you might miss out on something extraordinary and really exciting.

Furthermore, you could get a tripod to avoid wobbly or blurry photos. These pictures are usually the result of unsteady hands, so a tripod would be a great help in this situation. Also, a backup camera would be a plus. In extreme cases, your camera might suddenly stop working. To avoid frustration, having a spare one to save your day would be nice.

Like what I said earlier, Halloween photos usually turn out as just black. The reason for this is that some people are not aware of the proper lighting required when taking pictures in the dark.
